This is the second day in our final week! Today, I’m going to take yesterday’s slightly negative post and give you a more positive one today, at no charge! The team is moving full speed ahead to completing the final level. We’re improving on everything we’ve done before while continuing to add to the game overall. With most of our jobs being completed early, we can start working on improving the game as a whole!

Kiana and Violet have been working on the Energy Scooter tutorials for Level 3 and all except one are uploaded into the GUI. Things are coming along!

Violet compressed some of the tutorial videos and she also helped Shakeena (our game tester today) on the tutorials included in the game. After receiving Shakeena’s useful feedback, Violet went back and made corrections and went through them to look for any mistakes/inconsistencies. Man, oh man, our tutorials just get better and better.
Kiana has been busy improving the tutorial GUI based on feedback from Shakeena. She’s adding features that help the player navigate the GUI smoothly. Definitely smoother than before. She worked on adding an option where the player can make the videos full screen which is useful if you can’t see a number in the video’s minimized format. Our menu layout got a makeover today thanks to Kiana, too. |

Arun added the male and female characters to the game today. (That’s right guys, like Arun said yesterday, THEY HAVE CLOTHES NOW). He also added an exit button to the main menu; I doubt our player will be pressing that button very often though because our game is coming along very well. ANNNNDDD ARUN SOLVED THE BUILD ISSUE. HOORAY! (The rest of our game is still under construction.) Now, the game is easily executable! You won’t need to download everything into Unity to play. (The problem was Windows 8, of course.)

Jenny is the voice actress for the mother of our player in the game. That is very ap-parent to all of us! Jenny’s voice is music to my ears. It’s as great as the epic music we’re going to add to our game as a final touch. Today, Jenny converted the voice recordings to mp3 files, tested out the audio recordings in level 3, and continued recording audio for the tutorials.

Today, I collaborated with Arun on the best way to make the final scene in our game dramatic. There’s going to be a big reveal of the Energy Scooter. We agreed that we’re going to have a really cool scene where the scooter powers up the entire factory before our player goes on to escape. So, I started working on a fuse panel that the player will interact with to take control of the scooter’s power that will power the factory.
