We started today a bit differently than usual. Well for starters I wasn't late. I was actually early.*GASP* Early? This must not be me we are talking about but I assure you it is. I left my house eariler because I was excited to play some ultimate with Ashley We both want to play for our college teams so decided we need to start working out and practicing more often. I also realized today how I really need to hit the gym more often because the excessive eating of sourpatch everything is catching up to me( Not going to lie, as I typed “sourpatch” I remembered I had some in my bag and started eating them).
Me being on time wasn't the only reason today started out different that usual. Instead of meeting up at Autodesk, we all met up at Bronx Science. We checked out what products students from the Bronx Science Design Institute came up with. Since none of them have gotten patents on their products yet I am not allowed to mention their ideas but I guarantee you they were awesome. Like the hard workers we are we headed back to Autodesk immediately after the presentations were done. Okay, maybe not immediately but shortly after. We were excited to see the new STEM rooms in the basement. Such a massive upgrade. I mean the computers aren't these foreign looking dell things anymore. They are now sleek looking lenovos. So woooo! Thats exciting.
You know whats more exciting though? The fact that JAVAK is a day away from finishing this game! Mind blowing eh. It still amazes me when I think about just how much we’ve gotten done in these last four weeks. Although I would love to do a ‘this is how far we’ve come” post, Jenny has called dibs on that post. With that said you guys just get this. Heres what we got done today:
CAD TEAM(?):
Today I worked on going over the tutorials and making sure any features I added within this week worked flawlessly. When I first made some of these features I was only able to add it to a handful of tutorials due to time constraints so now I went back and added the new features to all of them! Tomorrow being the last day, will also be a review of the work and finding bugs. I'm also going to collaborate with the talented Jenny to add the audio to the tutorials.
Violet, who has abandoned me is now working on texturing levels and the sound effects. Both very important things in ensuring our game is actually entertaining.
Graphics Team:
Jenny worked on finishing up all the audio for the game and converting it to mp3. She attempted to incorporate the audio into the levels and ran into a bit of trouble with that. So we will be combining great minds tomorrow to add the audio!
Ashley worked on the very dramatic final scene for our game. She made the fuse box for the scooter today!
